Amy's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

October 16, 2000

TTC#1, CD#7, C#19

I hope that everyone is doing very well. I did make it a priority to get this entry done and sent tonight! I actually have some positive news!!!

As you may have read from last week, I started the Repronex shots on Friday. Well, on Monday (or CD#3) I went for my ultrasound to see if any cysts were appearing after having the shots for three days. THEY ARE GONE!!!!!!!! Whahoooooooo! Troy and I were both waiting for the news. AND, I had some great follicles forming. I actually had two follicles over 1.0!!!! For those of us who know what this means -- it's great! AND, I didn't have 15-20 little tiny cysts, but only eight in my left ovary and nine in my right! It was pretty neat to leave the RE's office without crying hysterically because they've stopped my cycle. The one drawback -- and RE said he wasn't even worried -- was my low estrogen level. He said he would be concerned with this if I hadn't had such "pretty" follicles, but since they were a nice size, he said for me not to worry! I knew there had to be a catch in there somewhere.

I go back tomorrow a.m. to see how they are doing. If all goes as planned -- please, God -- I will have an IUI on Monday, possibly Tuesday. I am just dying to know if there is anyone out there who has had the same problems with estrogen??? Apparently one can supplement this problem and fix it??? I don't know -- I just knew that something would go wrong. I will keep you updated!

Meanwhile, I am just having a hectic year with a very "sociable" class. They certainly keep me quite busy. I am also keeping busy with my Mary Kay business. It is so much fun to meet so many new people and to make money while I am doing so!!!!! Mary Kay has proven to be such a phenomenal company!

I will close for this time. Hopefully, I will have even better news the next entry! Thanks for all of the support!

Lots of hugs, love, and PG dust!

Amy
