Amy's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

May 29, 2000

I am trying to keep our spirits high by remembering what our RE said, "Most women with PCOS get pregnant with medical help." Will I be one of the most or not one at all? If only we could see our futures -- it would save a lot of grief, huh?

We had family come visit this weekend from Virginia. We didn’t do much but just enjoy each other’s company and eat! They were ones who would always say to us, "So, everyone else is PG, what’s up with you?" Troy was never quite comfortable talking about our problem, but he did tell them everything that we are going through. So, of course, they go on to tell us that they have a friend who was in the same boat and they never got PG and adopted.

Well, we’re not ready to think about that yet. That may very well be in our future -- but, I cannot bring myself to have those thoughts until our RE says he’s sorry, there’s nothing more they can do. I am sure that we all have people who say stuff. I know that they don’t mean any harm, but it does hurt.

I really don’t have much to report this week because I just spilled my guts in the intro. We go back to the RE on Wednesday to have a class on administering the Repronex. Troy is quite nervous about doing this -- but, he’ll be fine! (I don’t know if he’s more nervous about administering the shots or paying the $480 for the month’s supply! :) I will let you know how it goes.

I look extremely forward to hearing stories from you. I hope that you will find as much support with Preconception.com as I have found!!!

Tons of hugs and prayers to all of you!! Hang in there...
Amy
