Hi everyone! Sorry I missed last week’s entry. No, I haven't forgotten all my wonderful friends on the preconception.com board; rather, my pregnancy hormones are causing mass chaos in my body right now. I've been having horrible morning sickness. It's been tough since during my first pregnancy I didn't have any and now I can't seem to keep anything down and nothing sounds appealing. So, rather than gain weight I've been losing it like crazy. This is not good since I'm 5 feet, 8 inches and weigh only 115 pounds to begin with. Needless to say, I went to the doctor today and he put me on a regimen to hopefully control the nausea some so that I can keep some food down and nourish my body and my baby. I just hope this passes over the next few weeks so I can begin to truly enjoy my pregnancy.
I've been pretty stressed at my job as well. They have been doing a lot of lay-offs lately and my department was finally affected last week. I wasn't one of the ones chosen to let go, but three other people were and I felt really bad for them. They chose the people that had been with the company the longest. One guy had been here for 32 years!! I thought that was an awful way to treat him after all of the loyalty he showed to the company. I'm really starting to hate corporate America and can't wait to stay home with my babies after this one comes along. I told DH that I didn't care what sacrifices we had to make, there was no way I was coming back to this.
On to better news. My friend Melissa called me yesterday and told me that she got a + pregnancy test. We were trying to get PG together and we've come really close. Her EDD is June 7 and mine is May 7. I'm so excited for her.
Well, I've still been following all of your stories faithfully even though I haven't felt well enough to participate as much as I usually do. I'll be looking for lots and lots of graduates this month!!! ++++++++++ vibes to all of you and here's some baby dust! ~*~~~*~*~*~~*~*~~*
You're all in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Amanda
