Yesterday was a pretty exciting day. First thing in the morning was my IUI so I ended up missing my actual graduation but hey they send you the degree anyway. I had to chose whether this cycle was more important or the cerimony and I figured since I had 8 eggs, 6 of which were quite large I would chose this cycle. So we did the IUI. The whole morning I could barely walk because of the pressure/pain in my ovaries. I have never felt anything like it. After the IUI we went to breakfast and then to the mall where my brother let us park in the loading zone (he is security there) so that I would not have to walk too far (it seriously hurt). We got dh a new cell phone and put it on the same plan as the other phone so now we both have one and I got my hair high lighted.
When we got home my mom had a gift for me, a precious moments graduation figure. We visited with them for awhile and then I took a small nap by the time I woke up the pressure was gone (yeah ovulation). Dh had made reservations at one of our favorite italian restaurants. Well when we got there my whole family was there and my in-laws too. It was a nice surprise and dh planned the whole thing for me. The food just kept coming, there was chicken parm (my favorite) and spegetti with meat sauce, there was two salads, garlic bread, some other chicken with pasta and a chocalate and strawberry cake. It was great!
Oh and I didn't mention that on friday night since we were not going to actual graduation dh gave me my present from him. It was $300.oo in gift certificates for the local mall. We shopped all night friday and it was so much fun. I got a pair of sneaker, jeans (none of mine fit), a sweat shirt, 4 sweaters and 2 pairs of pants, I also used that money to have my hair done yesterday. It was so nice to just shop and not have to worry about where the money was coming from.
I am the luckiest girl in the world to have Walter. He makes me feel so special. I guess now I can say that I have my teaching degree. I still have one more certification exam to take, I was supposed to last weekend but had to miss it to be with my family when my grandpa died. The next exam is in March, then I need to be fingerprinted and apply for certification and I will be a NY state certified teacher. I can't believe I did it.
My pregnancy test is scheduled for 12/30. But I think I will know before then. Let's just pray that this is the cycle that works.
Thanks for letting me ramble. It was just such a nice day.
Alisa
