CD# 22
Well, I lied. I haven't ovulated yet. Wishful thinking I guess. I usually have longer cycles so I am hoping there is still a chance to ovulate this month. If I don't well, maybe next month and not then, well I will go see my doc in January. I went and saw my doc for the first time in the beginning of Sept and that was when she recommended the temping, OPK's, and Provera. She is very nice and took the time to answer my questions and gave suggestions. I decided to change docs because my prior doctor had moved to another faculty that was about an hour away from us and my new one is right in the town we live in, and while I liked her, her bedside manner STUNK. I told her last November that my dh and I were thinking about having kids in the next year and she looked at me with a straight face and said is that what you really want? WHAT!! Of course, if we could afford for me to stay home and not work I would have tons of little kiddies now. Then when I told her yes she kind of just said oh. I had to pry any suggestions out of her. All I really got was start taking a vitamin with folic acid in it. Ok, to give you a little background, I am not a small girl. Not really overweight, but if she would have recommended it I would have. Plus, I am a smoker, currently trying to quit. She knows this and tells us nothing. So, I left. Plus Jake, my hubby, felt a lot better having me see a doctor close in case something does go wrong, then she is here and I won't have to worry about starting at a hospital without my doc.
So, I have been temping and nothing so far or on the OPK's. I am using the answer brand that is sticks that you basically pee in a cup and dip it in. I have heard mixed reviews about pretty much all kinds and this one was the most cost efficetive for the amount of days I will be testing. I started on CD10 and will continue until CD35 at which time, if AF doesn't show I am supposed to start taking the provera again. Hopefully, this cycle will be the one.
My older brother got married a couple of weeks ago and my wonderful cute Grandmother came down for the wedding shower. Jake and I were looking at houses and she nudged me a little and says, You Know New Baby For a New House. I giggled and changed the subject. Not my day didn't want to talk about it. None of my family knows that we are trying for a baby and just a few close friends and family know. I don't think that I can stand the looks from people every month wondering if you are pregnant or not. And I am not one of those people, as it is there choice, who waits until 3 months or longer to tell family. I am soo excited to be trying when I get pregnant I am going to tell most people pretty quickly. We had a family member wait until she was just over 3 months, then unfortunately she developed HELLP syndrome extremely quickly and delivered her wonderful baby boy by cestion almost 2 and half months early. He is fabulous now, but she only had the joy of being pregnant for a short time. I want to enjoy being pregnant and all the fun and not fun stuff that goes with it.
On other fields, we are offically, offically buying a house. We have had the home inspection, apprasial, and were preapproved for the loan. We are closing November 3rd. 2 days after my younger sister's 22nd birthday. That's 2 weeks from tomorrow. Yikes. I have lots to do in the next 2 weeks and before we move. Wish me luck.
I think this entry has probably gone on long enough, so stop by my talk to me board and say hi. I am a huge junk of this site for a while just a lurker, but now I am starting to talk more and more.
Until next week....
Baby Dust to all...........
