Thanksgiving

November 25, 2006

Just a quick entry...

Thanksgiving was spent at my grandfathers.  If I haven't mentioned before he was recently diagnosed with cancer... stage 3 hodgkins lymphoma to be exact.  He's presently being checked for additional cancerous tumors in different lymph nodes, since they've found it in two places.  He's going to be 80 in February, and just overall is not doing good.  He's very out of it, very weak, very much not wanting to continue on.  We all fear this will be his last holiday season.

It was very nice to have one last thanksgiving with him (for sure, hopefully more!).  I've sat and really talked and enjoyed getting to know different members of my family... truly listening and talking with them, getting more intimate, more developed, more together.  It's something that you look back upon and think... they've been my family forever, what caused me to finally ask him what he was thinking?  I don't know, but I appreciate it, especially because of the present condition of our family.  (please know, after my grandmother passed away our family grew apart and I fear that if my grandfather passes).

That being said, I totally accidentally ditched my dish-duty by rocking my cousin's 4 month old little girl to sleep.  While I was rocking her I realized that our child would have been about that age (two weeks shy of it).  Crazy wild.

I really want to go and check out an RE asap.  I'm not going to however.  And, another crazy question for you all... this is the first month in a while that I haven't been on clomid.  It seems like my cm is just overly wild and plenty.  Is that odd?

Alright... I need to shut up and search the web for useless information.  Everyone take care!
