11.1.06 On Hold

Eddie and I went on a mini-vacation with our godchildren and another friend and her children this weekend.  We went for two days and one night to Indianapolis and enjoyed the Children's Museum and also the Indianapolis Zoo.  We had a good time and were great and exhausted the night we got back.  We took Maddux with us (our mini-pinscher/retriever mix) .  He was a pretty good boy, only having two accidents in the hotel (of course, in the elevator as we were going down to let him outside).  Regardless... he was a handful and we hated having to leave him in the room, in his cage.  We think he had a good time even though when we got home he refused to socialize with the other dogs (think he had a good time being spoiled by us and the kids?).

We're actually going to put ttc on hold til after the holidays.  We both talked and just really feel that we already have a lot of stress going on with the holidays and our families and finances and we don't want to add anything additional to that.  We're not going to prevent pregnancy, but we're not going to actively try.  No temping, no cm checking, no robbotussin, no OPK's.  (Can you imagine?!).  No clomid, no hot flashes, no hormonal issues, nadda.  I never realized how horrible ttc really was (kidding!).

Anyhow, I'm probably not going to be around as much (not disappearing, just not as often).  However, once the holidays are over I'm sure we'll be back with a vengence.  I plan on making appointments for the both of us with our ob/gyn and urologist to discuss what is going on inside both of us... and why we're not pregnant yet.  And, I also plan on pursuing an RE asap (after the 1'st of the year).  My goal is to be pregnant in 2007.  Wouldn't that be great?
