the crash boom bang of discovering bf...
October 13, 2006
N.
Yes, indeed, even after 43 days my test resulted in a BFN.
Now, let me tell you the story of how and why I tested, because we're all fully aware that I refused to test anytime before today, as to tell Eddie for our anniversary (in hopes) that we are/were pregnant.
Anyhow...
Wednesday morning I was driving to work. I stopped at the office and dropped some stuff off and headed to get bagels for my staff for a meeting we were having that morning. As I drove to the bagel shop, a woman decided that she wanted to turn right out of the left turning lane. As much as I tried to avoid her, I smashed right into her. Then, I bounced off her towards the oncoming traffic. A car swerved and that way, missed me... but alas, it was a pretty bad accident (I was going around 35-40 at the time, and no matter what I did to avoid it, it had been raining and was VERY slippery).
After the fact she tried to say that I was at fault for hitting her (not that her being in the illegally wrong place at the time had ANYTHING to do with it, ya know?) The police officer went off on her. She kept insisting that because she signalled, because she went one lane at a time, because I came out of nowhere that all this was my fault.
Alas, she turned RIGHT from the LEFT turning lane. End of story. She's in the wrong.
The truck is being fixed, it should be done mid-next week. I have a rental (Chevy Cobalt, which is actually a pretty cool car as far as I'm concerned!), and life is fine.
I tested simply because if I was pregnant I didn't want to take any chances on losing a baby again. It was rough the first time, I don't want to have to deal with it a second time.
Everyone is/was okay. And, I'm thankful for that. However.. I'd really enjoy a month without any drama!
Anyhow, everyone take care...
Anne, God will somehow make that money possible for the tests, just have faith and patience! Anj... enjoy your hiatus. Tiffany... keep us updated about dh's tests and such, and helen thanks for the well wishes.
Everyone... baby dust all around!
Amanda
