dr's appt's, and pics of neice!! 9.18
September 18, 2007
Sunday was my brother's baby shower for my adorably sweet niece, Lilli Ava....
After the shower (which went off awesomely), I went to help my mom move some stuff around in her garage and dropped a broiler pan on my foot. It felt like it karate chopped my foot (fell on my foot, with the edge hitting the foot). And, I swore that it was broken (my foot, not the pan). I iced it, and stayed off it... but anytime I stepped down I began to cry. (fyi, I don't do pain well). I talked with both my mom and dad (the only people who I could find up at 11pm, sadly) and dad said "go to er tonight, that way you can go to work tomorrow" and mom said "go to er tomorrow after work if it's still hurting". I went in between and took off work, going to er yesterday morning. I bruised the bone, which is good news cause I have a wedding I have to stand up in less than two weeks from now... and casted isn't my choice of walking down the aisle!
Yesterday was also dh's appt to get his referral for the urologist. It was a mess of a situation... trying to get him to open up about ed was hell. In the end we got the referal to the urologist and now we're waiting on them to push it through his HMO so we can make an appt. (rarrh, have I mentioned how much I hate his insurance right now?).
DH went on a job interview yesterday. He wasn't offered the job, but was told that after they finish his background check and run his motor vehicle record they would be calling him. Both his bg and mvr are clear so there should be no problems with this all. The new job would be midnights... and although it sounds like it sux, it really doesn't. He'd be leaving about 7pm, after we could sit down and eat dinner together. I go to sleep about 9 anyhow... then he'd be home about 7am, as I usually am sitting down to eat breakfast! I leave for work at 8am, so he could sleep the entire time I'm working... and the puppies don't have to stay caged while we're at work. Awesome stuff eh? Plus, for children (adopted, fostered, or birth) they'll constantly have someone home... all day long. :)
Hopefully we'll be back on track ttc again by October. Dh looked at me yesterday and said "Are we ever going to have a child?" and that just breaks my heart. We originally started trying because HE wanted to. He loves kids and can't wait to be a father... I wanted to wait til about this point to start trying... but I'm greatful we started already so that we can begin to see specialists, etc.
I'm hoping the urologist can fix whatever's going on with dh, and then my ob/gyn will re-prescribe metformin and clomid for three cycles to see what happens. If nothing, we're going to go ahead with the hsg, and attempt to do IUI.
That being said... Hasta pasta!
