changing the game plan...

August 21, 2006

I kicked the cord to the computer and shut it off.  Amazing how I was posting about Murphy's Law right at that moment too, huh?  What a weird coincidence.

All month my cycle temping has been insane, right right?  Well... why should this weekend be any different?

Friday night we went to a friend's house and played some board games and cards and such.  We didn't get home til nearly 2am, and the rain was coming down in sheets... you couldn't even see in front of your car.  It was horrible.  We got into the house and just went to sleep.  Both of us were tired and wet and just feeling "icky".  That morning... my temp went from 96.5 to 95.3... interesting but at that point, not a rare occurance (heck, it was the third time in a week!).

Saturday night a friend-of-a-friend had a birthday party at a local place here that dh and I enjoy, so we went with them and had a great time.  We left the club about 2 and stopped at Denny's to get some "breakfast".  ...all I remember ordering was "THAT RIGHT THERE!!" and slamming my hand down on a picture of cheesecake!  I know I had food though... just not sure what it was.  That morning my temp had gone from the 95.3 to a whopping 96.0, making me believe that yet again, I had just had another drop in temp... no spike hence no ovulation.

Sunday morning I had to get up really early to go to work (my clients had a special olympics qualification tournament for softball, and they won, so they're going downstate).  We had just gotten home from the night before about eh, four hours before?  So, there was no waking dh up... and of course, Murphy visited... I had a temp spike.

And, what makes it all the worse?  We haven't been intimate in well over a week... so there is litterally not a chance it happened this month.  Such is life.  ...amazingly enough I'm okay with it though.

And, with that... I'm changing my game plan.  Read on and post on my ttm board if you think it's "a good idea" or "waaaaaaaay no, un-uh, don't do it".

I have provera left over from after the miscarriage when we were trying to bring on af... fortunately I didn't really need it, so I have five pills left.  I definately will take a test, to be sure... but I'm thinking I take the provera, let the period come on, strong, and then start the clomid as directed from days 3-7.  Then, very carefully watch the cycle and just force dh to bd all the time. (easier said than done).

Advice???
