If any time was the right time...
July 9, 2006
If any time was the right time, and if any day was the right day
to make us parents together in a special way...
WE DID IT LAST NIGHT.
The ingredients were perfect...
1 strongly positive OPK
2 :) willing participants (:
3 hours of laying my fat bootie on a pillow afterwards (okay, I fell asleep... but when I woke up my legs were just as tight holding together as they were when I fell asleep)
and a temp that was nearly 2 degree's higher than the average (yesterday it was 95.0, today it was 97.4, the average is 95.5)
We're going to assure that we gave it our best shot by going at it again tonight and tomorrow night (although I know, we're supposed to wait a day between). But... I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying hard that it will finally be our time. (especially because of all the medical mumbo jumbo that will come across if it doesn't work).
However...
it's discouraging to read that the average couple has a 20% chance each month to get pregnant (at our age, which is within that 25-30 range). And... it's discouraging to know that even with the perfect opportunities it still may not happen. Truth be told, I always have and will continue to believe that it's God that blesses the egg and sperm and allows it to grow into a child. ...now, just to see if he did that for us :)
Take care everyone... hope we'll have another fun positive result in a few weeks!
Amanda
