Our newest venture??? 5.9

May 9, 2008

Don't get excited, I don't have ANY news... I should, but I don't.  Haven't had the time really...  I planned on testing by today but yeah, nope... not yet, and I'm not really thinking much about it becaaaauuusee...

We may be buying a house.  We weren't looking really.  I found this house as investment property for my step mom, who doesn't want to rent anymore to anyone (bad experience) and well... how do you pass this up??

It's a ranch home that was built in 2005.  It has three bedrooms, two full bath's (master suite w/walk in closet).  It's 1900 sq ft, central air, and just amazing architectural "charm" (the crown moulding, trimwork, built in oak wall unit).  The "work" portion of the house is the kitchen...

barely there cabinets (the island and that back part is a corner portion with a lazy susan that is busted up).  The ovenhood is amazing... but yeah we're going to have to buy appliances and cabinets and either install them all or have them installed (the stove and dishwasher are a must to install).

The asking price is 79,900... because it's a foreclosure.  (for the area, it's an amazing price... average older homes are going for 150-160).

So... yeah my mind is totally on the house and what we're going to do if all works out, etc.  We're patiently waiting to see what happens. :)  (inspections, etc).  However, please know that I already have the nursery picked out :P

Hopefully I'll get some tim this weekend to stop by the store and get a test.  ...maybe celebrate my first mothers day???  And, of course, get some "happy mothers day grandma" cards for our moms.  (ahh the thought).
