An interesting observation... 4.15
April 15, 2007
It's good, it's bad, it's crazy...
First, let me tell you all that I actually full fledge ovulated, without a shadow of a doubt, the day after I wrote my last entry (today is 5 dpo). Funny... but regardless, we sealed the deal one time, and alas, we're both hanging on a prayer that it worked.
Second, let me tell you that my sister in law called at 11 last night to tell us that his mother's best friend (basically sil and dh's aunt) has been diagnosed with cancer of the liver. Nobody knows anything but that, at this point. Upon hearing the news we immediately raced to where his sister was to console her (his mom was with his father at home crying her eyes out after just arriving home from the hospital). We sat around and talked for a while and discussed how family (and friends) are so important and how we shouldn't go a day without saying "I love you" to one another. She (sil) really is taking it hard, and I feel horrible for all of them (bf's family along with my inlaws). Regardless... as we talked SIL said "I knew it. I knew that the cancer had come back (was previously in her breast). I told my mom Friday that I had a bad feeling about it and that I thought it had come back." (they didn't go to the hospital til Saturday evening). She went into a rant about how she's not psychic but that she gets premonitions and such... and then she said "And you're going to have a baby!".
So... a little good, a little bad, and a little crazy??? :) I can hope that she's got good premonitions, although I have to wonder.
That all being said, let me thank you both Tiffany and Anne. Your words of encouragement are nothing short of amazing! I'm greatly blessed to have you two as i-friends :) I don't know if you remember, but after Anne, Tiffany, and Helen announced your pregnancies I felt like "Well these things come in three's and I'm not one of em." ...a friend of mine from work just found out she's pregnant, so maybe???
And... as long as I'm on the subject of work....
1dpo I was at work (that following morning) and I was talking to a client. All of a sudden I got this horrificly bad crampy/pressure/gassy feeling in my abdomen that lasted about ten/fifteen seconds. I almost fell over, but there was a table there that I luckily grabbed onto. A minute later it happened again, and for the remainder of the day I felt this horrific gas/cramp pressure... so who knows!
Anyhow, positive thoughts are always funner than the negative ones. ...and heck, even Eddie's jumped on the bandwagon this month (he usually is the most "realist" person I know... aka a pessimist).
If I don't get af by May 1, I'm going to test.
Anne or Tiffany... do you know the sex of your cannoli pierogi or your baby yet?
Til next time...
Amanda
