Helen's Diary Entries

I think I am having regular cycles:O)

September 29, 2006

CD 3, Cycle 18, Met Cycle 5, TTC #1 since May 7th 2005

Well Hello everyone,

yes yes yes, I know in my last entry I said that I would be writing more frequently, but that was because I thought I was going to try last cycle. What happened is this, I chickened out! The Dr told us, "No trying" until he has confirmed that I am O'ing and that my hormones are balanced out etc. We were going to go against Dr's orders last cycle and try anyway, seeming as we would be having 2 holidays, yes, you read correctly, two holidays in one month. We thought, why waste the opportunity of all that relaxing, we should just try and see what happens.

Well, I am reading 2 books at the moment about eating correctly when you have PCOS. Both book outlay the syndrome and its effects, and both say that women with PCOS, stand a 40% chance of miscarrying, due to the high testosterone and hormone defects. So with this in mind, I decided it would be bst just to wait it out, see what the Dr says when we see him on the 26th October and wait until I am in optimum condition before jumping on the rollacoaster of TTC again.

I am confident though. I think last cycle, everything may have went well. Mid cycle, around CD14 to 16, I had more EWCM than usual, had some good cramps, and even got one streak of blood, this just had to be O. Then I had the most painfull boobies I think I have ever had, all the way up until the 2nd day this cycle. I also came on bang on time, 12 dpo, well that's based on an O on CD16. When I used to chart on FF, my LP was always 12 days, so if I could just keep this up, this will be great.

Now the only thing that has gone wrong, is my actual period. The stupid old witch showed up on Wednesday afternoon, nice and light as always. I had no trouble from all day next day, until the evening when all of a sudden, I started getting torrents of blood. Bare in mind, DH and I were on holiday in a place called Center Parcs with some friends of ours. Center Parcs mainly centres around a big swimming complex, with all sorts of flumes, waves, different types of pools and rapids, so AF showing in the middle of this holiday wasn't ideal, but ho hum. Nigel and I, dipped into the hot tub, which is located in our apartment. We had a nice relaxing bubbly bath and then I got out to dry myself. I looked down, and there was blood running down my legs, I know TMI, but this is my diary, so if you are queasy, do not read on Anyway, I thought this was strange, as I hadn't been wearing the regular absorbancy tampon I had in for long. So I cleaned myself up, and changed my tampon for a super absorbant one. Anyway, we went swimming, and I kept looking down to make sure I was ok. We were swimming for about an hour, we got out, dried and went back to the apartment to meet up with our friends. So, I'm sitting there, and bear in mind I have only been wearing this fresh tampon for like 2 hours, wehn I start feeling gushing, I run to the toilet and yep, my tampon is saturated and I have a new load on AF to clear up. So I cahnge my tampon again, and after dinner, Nigel and I go to one of the bars situated near by. We are there for an hour and decide to go back to the apartment to get an early night. I says to DH "I think I maybe leaking again" Well that was an understatement, I looks down at my denim jeans, and I am soaked in blood. I run into the toilet, and I made a right mess. All over the floor, my jeans, my legs, my underwear, the tooilet my hand, you get the picture. So, yet again, I clean it all up. Change my tampon, put on a sanitary towel and sleep on a towel fornthe rest of the night. Well it continued into this morning, I had to change my tampon every 2 hours. So, on the last day of our holiday, I didn't get to go swimming again, and spent every hour, rushing to the loo and making sure everytyhing was Okay. The blood sems to have clamed down now, I am just wearing a towel, which is coping well, so hopefully, no more flooding this cycle.

I am worried about this though, as I have explained before Endo runs in the family, and I believe that this can be one of the symptoms. This will be all I need on top of DH'd Morph probs, and my PCOS etc. I really am hoping for a Lap, to determin whether I have it or not. Of course, this could be a god sign that my uterus is finally building a good stable, thick and rich environment for my baby when it gets there. Something which hasn't been happening. The Dr confirmed last time I saw him that my womb lining was no where near where it should be. So maybe, I just had loasd mopre womb to shed, and this is going to be normal for me from now on. I'll mention it to the Dr when I see him, and hopefully he can sort all this worry out for me.

Otherwise, this month has been very nice, we had our lovely holiday with my parents in Suffolk at the beginning of September. and now we have come back from a relaxing break with our friends. I don't go back to work until Wednesday, as it will be my Birthday on the 3rd, and a friend and I, will be off to the Spa, for a pamper day. My DH has paid for my treatments, as my birthday present:O) We are having an Algae body rap, an express facial, a manicure and pedicure, and the paclage includes a 2 course lunch, use of all facilities and as many cups of coffee or tea as we like. I'll tell you more in my next entry.

Anyway, I want to see some BFP's around here. Infact hardly anyone seems to update their diaries, there are some which are months old. Good luck anyway to all, and Amanda, good luck with your Church group etc, I hope it works out for you, you are both very brave:O)

Take care all,

Helen xxxxxxx
