2nd ultrasound and all is good:O)
February 6, 2007
First Baby, 10 weeks 5 days
Hi ladies,
well first off a massive congrats to Tiffany, wow those levels are doubling I bet it could be twins:O) I hope it all works out fantastic for you.
As for me, things are going well so far apart from the sickness, tiredness and headaches. When I saw the midwife she said that I am not allowed to take Paracetamol until the 2nd Trimester, so I am just putting up with the headaches which can be pretty bad at times. We don't have Advil in England which I hav heard you are allowed to take, so that's a bummer! The sickness is fine and usually confines itself to the mornings, but getting up in the morning can be a real pain and usually end up in being sick. Infact the sick morning ar better because the nausea usually disapears after I have been sick, but in a way I love it. It reminds me that I am pregnant and I would rather have that and be pregnant than not have it and not be pregnant. I am very tired all the time which can be hard as all I want to do is sleep all day, but I get by some how.
So yesterday I had the blood test for my Nuchal test and I go back in 2 weeks for the Nuchal scan. Yesteday I had a quick scan to check everything was on schedule and it was, spot on for my dates 10 weeks and 4 days, measuring 3.7cm and with a heart rate of 178 bpm. I was so relieved to see that little heart beating away as I have been so paranoid that everything would go wrong. So if it works, here is a picture of my little one:
I hope that worked:O)
So there isn't really all that much else to say at the moment, my next appointment is on the 21st Feb, so I'll update then and all being well, I will probably ask to be moved to the preg diaries and will have to say goodbye.
So as always, good luck lovely ladies, baby dust to all those not pregnant and sticky dust to all those that are, and welcome to the ladies that are new.
Take care, love Helen and the little Bean xxx
