Using Nature to Boost Your Fertility

Many studies and experts agree that nutritional supplementation may provide an alternative or complement to conventional fertility therapies. "It is well established in the literature that a healthy lifestyle is important in optimizing one's reproductive health," says Dr. Lynn Westphal of the Stanford University School of Medicine. "Vitamins, minerals and specific cofactors play a major role in fertility function. Good nutrition is a prerequisite for fertility and childbearing and is particularly important for those deciding to become pregnant at a more advanced age."

Craig Davies of Virginia Beach, Va., participated in a 2001 nutrition and fertility study after finding conception increasingly difficult. "I just never imaged we would encounter problems," he says. "We tried for about a year and a half when I was told by my physician that we would never be able to conceive a child naturally. We were not interested in the invasive infertility treatment options available, so when I learned about the study, I immediately enrolled. Within three months, we were pregnant!"

Organic Conception-Using Nature to Boost Your FertilityMore than ever before, nutritional supplementation may play an important role in optimizing fertility health, which may lead to improved conception rates and provide an alternative or complement to conventional fertility therapies.

"Without significant side effects, [alternatives] offer an attractive option for use in the management and optimization of reproductive health in women," says Dr. Westphal. "The role of nutritional supplementation in fertility health is an extremely important area of research ... We are just beginning to scratch the surface."

Fertility Blend

The Daily Wellness Company announced that Fertility Blend, a natural, nutritional formula backed by a Stanford study, may offer new hope for a simple, low-cost, first-line alternative to invasive and expensive medical procedures for couples wanting to conceive.

"Fertility Blend may enhance reproductive health as an integral part of an overall healthy lifestyle," says Dr. Lynn Westphal. "This seems to be a very reasonable alternative, and I would recommend it as a first step to my patients that are having trouble conceiving."

Fertility Blend comes in formulas for both men and women. The women's formula contains various herbs and amino acids that encourage healthy ovulation, prevent certain birth defects and promote sexual and reproductive wellness and health. The men's formula improves the health and activity of sperm, as well as aids in the quality and formation of sperm.

Fertility Blend is a patent-pending formula that is available nationwide in leading drug stores, super markets, GNC and health food stores. Consumers can also purchase it online at www.fertilityblend.com or by calling 1-866-Baby-To-Be.
