: Medications increase the chance of pregnancy by tricking the brain/pituitary into "thinking" that there is less estrogen around, directly stimulating the ovaries or triggering ovulation. Common infertility drugs include Gonal f, Follistim, Fertinex, Pergonal, Humegon and Repronex.

  • Hormone Injections: Manufactured and/or synthetic hormones are given orally or by injection to stimulate normal body functions (such as ovulation, hormone production, etc.) to produce pregnancy. Common hormones used for fertility include human menopausal gonadotropins, urofollitropin, human chorionic gonadotropin and progesterone.
  • However, no longer are these the only treatments or options for increasing your chance of getting pregnant.

    Organic Options
Organic Conception-Using Nature to Boost Your Fertility According to Alana Sugar, a nutritional consultant for Whole Foods Market in Alexandria, Va., the benefits of partaking in an organic concept for conception are numerous. They include the following:

    • Organic supplements will reverse some of the effects of a diet full of hormones and antibiotics. Overuse of antibiotics in raising animals for human consumption may encourage the growth of drug-resistant bacteria in humans.
    • Including an organic supplement will ensure a diet with an array of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibers that are important for both the mother and developing baby.
    • Organic supplements can reverse or counter-effect the negative aspects of some foods, including those processed and packaged, as many use preservatives, added chemicals, artificial colors and sweeteners that may be potentially harmful.
