Oh the People You Meet ...
When You're Trying to Conceive

Friday's appointment was with a reputable reproductive endocrinologist (RE) who was highly recommended by my practice. Like I said before, carrying a baby to term hasn't been easy for us, but science and technology are so advanced now. If and only if we have a chromosomal issue, I wanted to know for certain what our options are for having a healthy baby.
Adoption is amazing and I'm so proud to be a part of the process, but deep in my heart I want to have a successful pregnancy and delivery, too! I will give up on that dream if I'm told to do so, but until then, if it is even the tiniest bit possible, we're going to try again. My husband is up for the task. He's so supportive of everything, even the idea of walking into a doctor on his only Friday off where he might have to produce a sperm sample for analysis on command. He wasn't too fazed; he brought the Victoria's Secret Catalogue just in case.
After 15 stressful minutes in the lobby, we were approached for our consultation. We had filled out a 300-question questionnaire and had handed it in to the office staff. A packet of pre-consultation paperwork had been sent to us and that was included in it. Th
