When You're Trying to Conceive

We're proud to say that we are pursuing an international adoption in Korea. After Derek died in November, we went and sought a lawyer to pursue a domestic adoption. A domestic adoption is when you seek a birthparent in your home country via an agency or via finding your own birthmother. We opted to find a birthmother ourselves through advertising. To make a long story short, it was awful. I placed ads in Tennessee, Utah, Pennsylvania, New York and West Virginia to try to find a woman looking to give up her baby. Calls came in to our anonymous 800-number.
We did get calls, some interesting ones. The best of the best was the strip joint owner who had several girls who were pregnant and one girl who wanted to give up her 10-month
