I Will Never Forget
The Struggle That Brought Joy
By Ninotchka Beavers
For whatever reason, we had to go through this: We had to go through months of disappointment, our fair share of infertility testing – though not as extensive as others – an unexplained infertility diagnosis and countless emotional ups and downs. Yet here we are. We have been blessed with a miracle.
Interestingly enough, I'm left unable to determine which one is the greater miracle – our daughter, Natalie, who came to us so easily as if to say: "You say you're ready to be my parents, well why wait? Here I come – now!" or our Baby Elle who made us "work" for her. What an extravagance to be able to ponder which one of our miracles is the greater miracle? How could one be any less miraculous than the other? That's like trying to decipher which one of nature's wonders is greatest: The sun or the moon, the ocean or the green earth? They're all so awesome; they're all so vast; they're all so tangible yet too grand for one single human to truly grasp, much less cmprehend.
