Trimester One
All About the First Trimester
By Teri Brown
"Be certain you are seen soon after you find out you are pregnant," says Dr. Seibel. "Not only to get screening tests and be certain you are OK and your pregnancy is doing fine, but also to get tips for preparing the house by getting rid of lead paint, low-lying things that break and sharp edges and also getting help to quit smoking if you smoke."
This is also a trimester of vigilance. The most common problems during the first trimester are pregnancy-related loss. Ectopic pregnancies occur once in every 60 pregnancies and miscarriages occur once in every 15 pregnancies.
Call your doctor immediately if you are bleeding, experience burning with urination, significant nausea, significant pain, especially in the lower abdomen, or experience trauma such as an auto accident, falling or being hit.
The first trimester of a pregnancy can be confusing, joyous and full of changes. Dr. Imler says the most important thing moms-to-be can do is to arm themselves with knowledge.
"If couples are planning a pregnancy it is helpful to know that much of these changes are going to occur and that they are natural," says Dr. Imler. "Knowing that they may and probably will be experienced may make adjustments a littler easier."

Keep having mild cramping. I'm at the end of week 6. I know this is normal but once you miscarrage it is still bothersome!!
